First Partner Illustration Collection — Series 2
The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Illustration Collection — Series 2 is a compact, gift-ready collector box, released on 19 June 2026 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It is the second of three anniversary First Partner collections, and this wave celebrates the starter Pokémon of the Johto, Unova and Galar regions.
The star attraction is the artwork. Each region’s three starters appear as brand-new Illustration Rare–style promo cards at standard card size — not the oversized jumbo format of the 2021 First Partner Packs — so they fit straight into your binders, sleeves and toploaders. Even better, each region’s three cards are designed to connect edge-to-edge into one continuous panoramic scene drawn from that region’s landmarks and iconography. Line up the trio and you have a single piece of display art.
What’s inside every box
- 1 promo booster pack with 3 of the 9 Illustration Rare–style First Partner promos. The pack is region-locked — all three cards come from the same region (Johto, Unova or Galar).
- 2 Pokémon TCG booster packs from recent sets.
- 1 sticker sheet featuring the first partner Pokémon.
The nine promo cards
- Johto: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile
- Unova: Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott
- Galar: Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble
There are no secret rares, alternate arts or hidden chase parallels — the nine promos are the complete set, so the chase stays simple: three cards, one region, one scene to complete.
Ideal for
Collectors chasing the 30th-anniversary promos, players who grew up with the Johto, Unova or Galar starters, and anyone after an affordable, display-friendly Pokémon gift. Pair it with the First Partner Illustration Collection — Series 1 (Kanto, Sinnoh, Alola) to build toward the full 27-card anniversary run, with Series 3 (Hoenn, Kalos, Paldea) still to come.
