Pokemon TCG: Scarlet and Violet — The Glory of Team Rocket (set code: SV5a, Japanese set number SV10) was released in Japan on April 18, 2025 as the tenth main expansion in the Japanese Scarlet and Violet era. Together with Heat Wave Arena (SV5b), it forms the Japanese source material for the English Destined Rivals set released on May 30, 2025. The full set contains 98 main set cards with additional secret rares. Each booster box contains 30 packs of 5 cards each for 150 total cards per box.

The Glory of Team Rocket is the first fully dedicated Team Rocket expansion in the Pokemon TCG in over 20 years — the last being the original Team Rocket set from the Base Set era. Unlike previous sets that teased Team Rocket's Pokemon as a subset, every card in this set fully embraces the Team Rocket theme. The set introduces Team Rocket's Pokemon as its primary mechanic — all featuring the iconic Team Rocket "R" symbol — with different Team Rocket trainers (from Giovanni to Rocket Grunts) depicted in the trainer avatar depending on the Pokemon. Key Team Rocket's Pokemon ex featured include Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex, Team Rocket's Moltres ex, Team Rocket's Crobat ex, Team Rocket's Persian ex, Team Rocket's Porygon Z ex, and Team Rocket's Nidoking ex. Giovanni appears across 10 cards in this set. The gameplay style of Team Rocket's Pokemon centres on disruption — discarding, sabotage, hand control, and aggressive damage scaling — enabling entirely new competitive archetypes built around the Rocket playstyle.

Top chase cards include Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex SAR (depicting Mewtwo hovering over a smug Giovanni), Team Rocket's Moltres ex SAR, and Team Rocket's Crobat ex SAR. The Kangaskhan Art Rare is also widely regarded as one of the most beloved Art Rare illustrations in the set for its nostalgic anime atmosphere.
