The Pokemon TCG: Scarlet & Violet — Paldean Fates Elite Trainer Box (set code: SV4.5) was released on January 26, 2024. Paldean Fates is the first shiny-focused special set of the Scarlet & Violet era and the English counterpart of the Japanese Shiny Treasure ex expansion, bringing over 130 Shiny Pokemon to the TCG — including the first Shiny forms of Paldea region Pokemon.

The set is built around the Shiny Vault: baby Shiny cards with their distinctive white-sparkle backgrounds, Shiny Pokemon ex, and Special Illustration Rares. Top chase cards include Shiny Charizard ex, Shiny Mew ex, and the fan-favourite Shiny Pikachu, alongside Tera Pokemon ex such as Forretress ex and Espathra ex. Because Paldean Fates packs are not sold in standalone booster boxes in English, sealed products like this ETB are the primary way to open the set.
