Retail Sales Executive

The role
PlayVault is a specialist trading card game (TCG) retailer in the UAE – Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering and more – online at playvault.ae and in our new shop in Dubai Investments Park.
We are looking for a reliable, sales-minded person to look after the shop day to day: helping customers choose the right products, answering messages on WhatsApp, packing every online order and helping us run tournaments for our community.
What matters most to us
Sales experience
You have worked in retail or another customer-facing sales role. You listen, work out what the customer really needs, recommend the right product and close the sale – in person and in a WhatsApp chat.
Reliability
You are on time for every shift, Tuesday to Sunday. You are careful with orders, cash and stock, honest when something goes wrong, and you take ownership without being chased.
Trading card knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement – we will teach you the products.
What you will do
- Welcome customers and help them find what they are looking for – gifts, first decks, boxes for collectors.
- Recommend products, sell sensibly and take payments at the till.
- Handle returns and exchanges following PlayVault’s policy.
- Keep the shop clean, tidy and well presented, with shelves and displays looking full and organised.
- Complete the daily store closing and reconciliation, ensuring POS, cash and payment totals are correctly recorded and any discrepancies are reported.
- Reply to customer messages on WhatsApp quickly and professionally – availability, product advice, order status.
- Turn enquiries into sales and follow up where it helps.
- Deal with returns and problems on online orders, passing anything unusual to the owner.
- Pack every online order accurately and carefully, double-checking items before dispatch.
- Prepare orders for courier collection and keep the packing area organised.
- Organise and run PlayVault’s in-store tournaments and events, including set-up, player registration, tournament software/rounds, player support and closing down the event.
- Event nights may occasionally run later than 20:00; extra hours are compensated in line with UAE labour law.
What you will need
- Sales experience in retail or another customer-facing role (UAE experience is a plus).
- Reliability: punctual, and able to commit to 12:00 – 20:00, Tuesday to Sunday, including every weekend.
- Strong spoken and written English; comfortable chatting with customers on WhatsApp.
- Careful and organised, with real attention to detail when packing orders.
- Honest and trustworthy with cash and stock.
- Friendly and patient with customers of all ages – kids, parents and serious collectors.
- Comfortable using a till and a computer; we will show you our systems.
- Based in the UAE; a valid UAE residence visa is preferred.
- Knowledge of Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering or other trading card games.
- Experience running or helping with tournaments or gaming events.
- E-commerce or order-packing experience (we use Shopify).
- Arabic or other languages.

- AED 4,500 – 6,000 per month, depending on experience, plus a performance bonus after probation.
- Full-time contract with a 3-month probation period.
