Foundations Commander Deck - Reign of Dragons

Magic: The Gathering — Foundations Commander Deck: Reign of Dragons is one of five preconstructed Commander decks in the Foundations Commander Decks line, released on October 2, 2026 alongside the Reality Fracture set. Each of the five is a mono-coloured, ready-to-play 100-card deck with everything needed to start playing Commander — Magic's most popular way to play, a multiplayer free-for-all for three to five players. Reign of Dragons is the mono-red deck, led by Lathliss, Dragon Queen and built around Dragons. New to the format? Start with our guide to MTG Commander.

For Magic collectors, Reign of Dragons includes a Traditional Foil face commander, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, with Borderless art. It is the red deck in a five-colour cycle, so it also suits anyone collecting the whole Foundations Commander line, which we also sell together as the Foundations Commander Decks Set of 5.

For Magic players, Reign of Dragons is a mono-red Dragon tribal deck with Treasure ramp. Lathliss, Dragon Queen is a 6/6 flier that creates a 5/5 flying Dragon token whenever another nontoken Dragon enters under your control, so each Dragon you cast brings a second one with it. Treasure and cost reduction help you cast Dragons early, and the deck includes Thunderbreak Regent, Utvara Hellkite, Scourge of the Throne and Sol Ring. Lathliss is expensive, so the opening turns can be slow, but the late game can be explosive, and the deck plays as a complete precon straight out of the box.

Deck contents: one 100-card Commander deck (Red) made up of 1 Traditional Foil face commander with Borderless art and 99 non-foil cards, 10 non-foil double-sided tokens (Treasure and Dragon tokens in 4/4, 5/5 and 6/6 sizes plus a Monarch helper), a reference card and a deck box. Language: English. Publisher: Wizards of the Coast. Condition: Factory sealed.

Ideal for Magic players who enjoy Dragon tribal decks and big late-game turns, Commander players who like ramping into powerful flyers, collectors following the Foundations Commander line, and anyone wanting a complete ready-to-play Commander deck with no deckbuilding required. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Looking for more? Browse our MTG Commander decks or see the best Commander precon decks in the UAE.

Does Standard rotation affect this deck? No. Commander does not rotate, so this deck stays fully playable when six older sets leave Standard with Nauctis: The Sunken Realm on 5 February 2027. Read our MTG Standard rotation 2027 and god packs guide for what changes and what to buy now.
