Foundations Commander Deck - Wretched Ranks

Magic: The Gathering — Foundations Commander Deck: Wretched Ranks is one of five preconstructed Commander decks in the Foundations Commander Decks line, released on October 2, 2026 alongside the Reality Fracture set. Each of the five is a mono-coloured, ready-to-play 100-card deck with everything needed to start playing Commander — Magic's most popular way to play, a multiplayer free-for-all for three to five players. Wretched Ranks is the mono-black deck, led by Ghoulcaller Gisa and built around Zombie tokens and sacrifice. New to the format? Start with our guide to MTG Commander.

For Magic collectors, Wretched Ranks includes a Traditional Foil face commander, Ghoulcaller Gisa, with Borderless art. It is the black deck in a five-colour cycle, so it also suits anyone collecting the whole Foundations Commander line, which we also sell together as the Foundations Commander Decks Set of 5.

For Magic players, Wretched Ranks is a mono-black Zombie deck built around sacrifice, recursion and going wide. Ghoulcaller Gisa lets you sacrifice a creature to create 2/2 Zombie tokens equal to that creature's power, turning even a small creature into an army and rewarding creatures dying. The deck includes Grave Titan, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Death Baron and Sol Ring. It keeps most of its cards focused on building a board or getting value from creatures dying, and it plays as a complete precon straight out of the box.

Deck contents: one 100-card Commander deck (Black) made up of 1 Traditional Foil face commander with Borderless art and 99 non-foil cards, 10 non-foil double-sided tokens (Zombie and Zombie Knight tokens plus Monarch helper cards), a reference card and a deck box. Language: English. Publisher: Wizards of the Coast. Condition: Factory sealed.

Ideal for Magic players who enjoy Zombie tribal and sacrifice strategies, newcomers to Commander who want a ready-made black deck, collectors following the Foundations Commander line, and anyone wanting a complete ready-to-play Commander deck with no deckbuilding required. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Looking for more? Browse our MTG Commander decks or see the best Commander precon decks in the UAE.

Does Standard rotation affect this deck? No. Commander does not rotate, so this deck stays fully playable when six older sets leave Standard with Nauctis: The Sunken Realm on 5 February 2027. Read our MTG Standard rotation 2027 and god packs guide for what changes and what to buy now.
