Mega Brave Booster Box
Pokemon TCG: MEGA Expansion Pack Mega Brave (set code: M1L) was released in Japan on August 1, 2025 as one of the two simultaneous launch sets of the brand new Mega Evolution era — the most significant structural shift in the Pokemon TCG since the transition from Sword and Shield to Scarlet and Violet. Mega Brave released alongside its companion set Mega Symphonia (M1S) on the same date, with both sets together forming the Japanese source material for the English Mega Evolution base set released on September 26, 2025. The full Mega Brave set contains 92 cards — 63 main set cards plus 29 secret rares.
Mega Brave marks the return of Mega Evolution Pokemon to the Pokemon TCG for the first time since the XY era, now reimagined as Mega Evolution Pokemon ex — cards that give up three Prize cards when knocked out, representing the high-risk, high-reward identity of the new era. Mega Brave specifically focuses on Lucario, Gardevoir, Venusaur, Latias, Absol, Mawile, and Camerupt as its Mega Evolution ex cards. The set also introduces for the first time full art (Super Rare) prints of Item cards, Pokemon Tool cards, and Stadium cards — a format first for the Pokemon TCG. The new MUR (Mega Ultra Rare) rarity debuts in this era, applied to gold-etched Mega Evolution Pokemon ex cards at the top of the rarity ladder.
Top chase cards from Mega Brave include Mega Lucario ex MUR, Mega Lucario ex SAR, and the Lillie's Determination SAR — widely regarded as the standout Supporter card art of the set. The Marshadow Art Rare is also notable for its unique two-card connected scene with a companion Marshadow card, both illustrated by artist 0313 and depicting the same moment from different perspectives across a six-year gap between releases.
