Munikis Zero is the third main expansion in the Japanese Mega Evolution M3 Series. The Japanese title ムニキスゼロ plays on the word munikisuru (無に帰する), meaning "return to nothing" — directly referencing Mega Zygarde ex's identity as the guardian of natural balance and ecosystem order, and tying into the Lumiose City setting of the Pokemon Legends: Z-A video game. The full set contains 80 main set cards plus 37 secret rares for 117 cards in total.

Mega Zygarde ex makes its Pokemon TCG debut in this set as the flagship card.
