Scarlet & Violet Base Set Koraidon ETB

The Pokemon TCG: Scarlet and Violet Elite Trainer Box — Koraidon (set code: SV01) was released on March 31, 2023 as one of the two launch ETBs for the Scarlet and Violet base set, the first expansion of the brand new Scarlet and Violet era. The Koraidon version features the Ancient Paradox Pokemon and counterpart to Miraidon — the two flagship Legendary Pokemon of the Generation IX games Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.

The Scarlet and Violet base set is historically significant as the first expansion to introduce Pokemon ex to the modern TCG, replacing the VMAX and VSTAR mechanics of the Sword and Shield era. It also marks the introduction of Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare cards to the Scarlet and Violet rarity structure — the new premium card tiers that have defined collector demand throughout the entire era. The set features Paldea region Pokemon including the Paldean first partner starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, and Pokemon ex including Koraidon ex, Miraidon ex, Arcanine ex, and Gyarados ex.

The exclusive full-art foil promo card featuring Koraidon (Black Star Promo SVP014) was previously released in Japan as a Triplet Beat Sealed Battle promo, making this its first English release. This promo is exclusive to this ETB and not available in standard booster packs.
