Magic: The Gathering — FINAL FANTASY (set code: FIN) is a Universes Beyond crossover set released on June 13, 2025, covering all sixteen mainline Final Fantasy games in a single release — from Final Fantasy I through Final Fantasy XVI. Every character, summon, location, and iconic moment across the entire franchise is represented in card form using Magic: The Gathering's rules system. This is a Standard-legal set, meaning all cards are legal in Standard, Pioneer, Modern, Legacy, and Vintage MTG formats from release.

For Final Fantasy fans who don't play Magic: the cards are fully standalone collectibles featuring original Final Fantasy artwork in a premium card format. You do not need to play Magic to collect and display these cards. The borderless character cards feature art treatments specifically designed for this crossover, with characters including Cloud Strife, Lightning, Terra Branford, Tidus, Cecil Harvey, Kefka Palazzo, and dozens more rendered in Magic's card frame with new exclusive artwork.

For Magic players: FIN introduces mechanics tied to each Final Fantasy game's identity. Job class cards allow characters to change roles mid-game. Limit Break is a new ability representing Final Fantasy's signature powerful attacks that charge over time. The Summon mechanic captures iconic summoned creatures like Bahamut, Shiva, Ifrit, and Alexander as powerful spells. The set is designed for both Draft and Sealed play, with Play Boosters being the recommended format for Limited events and pack-opening sessions.

Each Play Booster contains 14 Magic cards and 1 Token or Art card. Every pack includes 1 to 4 cards of Rare or higher rarity, at least 1 Traditional Foil card guaranteed per pack, and a 20% chance of an additional foil Land card. Borderless alternate art character cards appear in both non-foil and traditional foil across Play Boosters. A regular Art card appears in approximately 30% of packs and a foil-stamped Signature Art card in approximately 5% of packs.
